1. Who we are
FairTurns is run by ARKNET PTY LTD (ABN 17 233 494 783), Queensland, Australia.
2. What we hold
- Your account: your name, email address and password (stored only in a form that cannot be read back).
- Rosters: what organisations put in — people’s names and email addresses, teams, positions, dates, who is on, availability and replies.
- Billing: the details given for invoices (organisation name, address, tax number), the invoices, and the card type and last four digits. Card numbers stay with Stripe.
- Records: sign-in attempts (time, IP address, browser), a log of important changes, and a record of emails sent.
Roster details are put in by the organisation, which decides who is added and what is shown. Questions about your details on a roster are best sent to that organisation first.
3. What we use it for
To run FairTurns: to sign you in, show rosters, send account emails and, when an organisation switches them on, roster emails; to bill Pro; and to keep FairTurns secure and meet legal obligations. We do not sell it, we show no advertising, and we use no analytics or tracking.
4. Who else handles it
Stripe processes card payments. Our hosting and email providers store and deliver data for us. Some of them may hold data outside Australia. We give data to anyone else only if the law requires it.
5. Cookies
We use only the cookies needed to keep you signed in and to recognise a browser you have used before, so a sign-in code is not asked for every time. No advertising or tracking cookies.
6. How long we keep it
Account and roster details are kept while the account or organisation is in use. Sign-in records and the change log are kept for about six months, and the content of sent emails for about a month. Invoices are kept as long as the law requires.
7. Seeing and changing your details
You can change your name and email address on your account page. To ask for a copy of what we hold about you, a correction, or to close your account, email us. In Australia you can complain to the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner, but we would like the chance to fix it first.
8. Security
Traffic is encrypted and passwords are stored hashed. No system is perfectly secure; if a breach affects you, we will tell you as the law requires.
9. Changes
We may change this policy. The date at the top shows the latest version.
