Netball roster
Netball duties for every team, on one roster
Each game needs a scorer and a timekeeper, the club owes the association umpires, and twice a season it’s your turn in the canteen. FairTurns keeps all of it in one place and shares the turns across your families.
Free, with no limit on people or dates. No card.
Ten teams, three courts and one person holding the clipboard
A netball Saturday at the association courts runs on volunteers. Every game needs someone on the scoresheet and someone on the clock, and most associations ask each club to supply umpires for a set number of games. On top of that, the association hands your club a few canteen or duty weeks in the season, and those always seem to land on a long weekend.
The club’s duty coordinator ends up juggling a spreadsheet for each team, a list of who has their umpire badge and a group chat full of “can anyone score at 10:10 on court 4?”. Teenage umpires get asked far more often than the parents, because they’re easy to ask.
A shared roster with the jobs named, the qualified people marked, and the turns counted takes most of that juggling away.

How FairTurns runs a netball club’s duties
A team for each side
Add a team for each netball team, so 13U Diamonds families only see and get 13U Diamonds jobs. Each team gets its own colour in the calendar.
Scorer and timekeeper
Give each team positions for Scorer and Timekeeper. Every game day has both places waiting, and Fill puts a parent on each.
Umpires set up once
Make an Umpire position and set up only the members who hold a badge. They’re never put on scoring by mistake, and nobody without a badge is put on to umpire.
Association duty weeks
Make a Canteen duty team with every family on it and a headcount, add the weeks the association gave you as one-off dates, and Fill shares them across the whole club.
No double duty
A mum scoring for one daughter at 9:00 won’t be put on to time another game at the same hour. Clashes are checked across all your teams.
One link for the club
Share the public roster link on the club page. Families check their duty on the drive to the courts.

When you want it to run itself
Pro emails the week’s duties to every parent and umpire who has accepted an invitation and sends a reminder before their game. If an umpire can’t make it, the next badge-holder in line is put on and asked, and the duty coordinator gets an email saying so. You can also set junior umpires to Less often so the adults take their share.
A$1 a month per organisation, paid 1 to 5 years at a time. See Pro and pricing
Good to know
- Game times change when the draw comes out each week. Add the usual time for the season, then change single dates when the draw moves a game; only that date changes.
- You decide who can umpire. FairTurns doesn’t check badges, so keep the Umpire position up to date as members gain one.
- Families don’t book their own duty: Fill puts them on, and the link shows them where they are.
- For junior players and umpires, first names or initials on the public roster are a sensible choice.
Questions
How do I make a netball scoring roster?
Give each team a Scorer and a Timekeeper position, add the game day as a repeating Saturday, add the team’s families, and press Fill. Each game gets one family on the scoresheet and one on the clock, and the turns are counted.
Can I roster club umpires across all our teams?
Yes. Make an Umpire team or position, set up the members who hold a badge, and add each game they need to cover. Fill gives each game to the umpire with the fewest turns, and never books one umpire at two overlapping times.
How do I add the association canteen weeks?
Make a Canteen duty team with every family on it and a position such as “Canteen, 4 people”. Click each date the association gave you and choose “Just this once”. Fill then shares those few dates across all the families in the club.
What happens when a game time changes?
Change that one date in the calendar and it keeps the new time. The rest of the season stays as it was, and the people on that date stay on.
What does it cost for a whole netball club?
The roster is free for every team, family and date. Pro, with the duty emails and automatic cover, is A$1 a month for the whole club, paid 1 to 5 years at a time.
