Create an organisationSet up your club, business or household on FairTurns: name it, choose its time zone, confirm your email and become its first administrator. Add your first teamCreate a team in FairTurns, the group that takes turns on its own dates, then put people on it so they can be rostered. Add peopleAdd people to your FairTurns organisation by email invitation, by name only with no email, or by pasting a list from a spreadsheet. The join linkSwitch on your organisation’s join link so people can add themselves after confirming their email, then switch it off or replace it. Administrators, moderators and membersWhat administrators, team moderators and members can each do in FairTurns, and how to make someone an administrator or a moderator.Dates
Add a dateAdd a date to a team’s roster from the calendar: pick the day, set the from and to times, and optionally put someone on it straight away. Repeating datesMake a date repeat every week, every second week or monthly in FairTurns, from the calendar or from a team’s Schedules tab. Change or cancel one dateChange the times of one date or a whole repeating schedule in FairTurns, call off a single date and put it back later. Keep dates aheadChoose how far ahead a repeating schedule keeps dates on the FairTurns calendar, and pause it, stop it on a date or delete it.Positions
Positions and headcountsGive a FairTurns team named positions with a headcount each, so every date has the right number of places to fill for each job. Who can do whatLimit a person to certain positions on a FairTurns team, so Fill, Redistribute and the people lists only put them where they are set up.Filling the roster
Fill empty placesUse Fill to put people into the empty places on a team’s roster, over the next 1 to 12 months. RedistributeUse Redistribute when someone joins, leaves or takes a break: FairTurns hands out their places and shares the rest out again, showing every change first. Clear the rangeTake everybody off a team’s dates over the next 1 to 12 months in FairTurns, keeping the dates themselves, to undo a fill and start again. Same person all dayTurn on Same person all day so that when a team has a morning and an afternoon time on one day, FairTurns keeps the same person on each position. Reading Turns bookedRead the Turns booked chart beside Fill in FairTurns: how many dates each person has on a team or one position over the coming months.Sharing
The public rosterPublish a read-only FairTurns roster at a link anyone can open without signing in, choose how far ahead it shows, and switch it off or replace the link. Your next datesFind your own upcoming turns in FairTurns: the Your next dates card under the organisation calendar lists the next dates you are on.Away days
Mark yourself awayMark the days you can’t do in FairTurns by pressing Away on your team’s upcoming dates, so Fill leaves you off them. Away for a stretchMark yourself away for a holiday or a busy spell in FairTurns: every day from a first to a last date, up to 92 days at a time. Away regularlyMark yourself away on a repeating pattern in FairTurns, like every first Sunday of the month, so you are never put on those days. Away days for people without an accountOrganisers can mark away days in FairTurns for people with no account, such as people added by name only, so Fill leaves them off those days.Pro
