Didn’t get an emailA link has expiredTake back an answerLinks and codes in FairTurns emails don’t last forever, so an old email sitting in somebody’s inbox can’t be used to get in. Each kind has its own fix.
An invitation or joining link
The Set up my account button in an invitation, and the button in a “Finish joining” email from a join link, work for two weeks and only once. An old one opens a page headed That link has expired.

- On that page, type the address the invitation was sent to into Email address.
- Press Send me a new link.
- Open the new email and use its button within two weeks.
You can also go straight to fairturns.com/welcome to ask for a new link.
Note: A new link is only sent if that address still has an invitation waiting. The page says the same thing either way, so if nothing arrives, the invitation may have been withdrawn or already accepted. Ask the person who invited you to send it again.
If you already set up your account with an earlier link, you don’t need a new one: go to the sign-in page and press Sign in.
A reply link in a reminder
The I can do it and I can’t make it buttons in a reminder email work until the day after the date. After that the page says This link has expired.
- Press Sign in on that page.
- Answer from Your next dates under the calendar, as in Replying to a date.
A reply link that still works can also say the roster has moved on: You are no longer on this place or That date can no longer be answered. Sign in to see where you are now.
A six-digit code
Sign-in, password and email-change codes last 15 minutes. When one has run out, the page says That code has expired. Request a new one. Use the link under the form, such as Code not arrived? Ask for a new one, and type the newest code. See Sign-in codes.
A public roster link
Public roster links don’t expire, but an administrator can replace one or stop publishing. The old link then shows Not published. Ask your organiser for the current link; see the public roster link.
